Warriors Weather the Sting in "Snow"down vs. Hornets 124-62
Snow fell in quiet defiance of the calendar, coating the roads outside in white while the real storm brewed indoors. On a night when most sought warmth and shelter, the Warriors and the Hornets chose something colder, chlorinated water, echoing whistles, and a rivalry renewed. As flakes piled up beyond the pool doors, so did the tension.
The Hornets arrived buzzing, confident that speed could sting even in the coldest conditions. The Warriors let the water do the talking. Every dive sent ripples through the stands, every finish turning the temperature up just a little higher. Inside, the Warriors etched their legacy, stroke by stroke.
With expectation high, the Warriors did not disapoint. Stinging the Hornets with five quick wins in a row.
"We knew ifa few key races would go our way early, we would be able to stay in the diver's seat for the whole meet" Senior Corrine Blachere stated. Blachere went on to win the 200 Free and 500 Free and create even more seperation between the two teams.
Freshman Emi Cooper had ice in her veins as she went toe to toe with upperclassman in the 200 Free and 100 Free, beating all Hornets in the field with best times all around.
"It was great to come through for my team as Freshman!" Cooper said with a smile. "Hopefully it's the first time of many!"
